Service Description

Birth Doula Services includes; -Email and phone support from the time of booking throughout the duration of your pregnancy up to 6 weeks postpartum. -On-call for your birth from 38 weeks. -4 prenatal meetings during the pregnancy, in which we discuss your desires for labor and birth, prepare for the fourth trimester, work through any fears, set specific goals, practice pain management techniques, and discuss further topics or questions you may have. -Assistance creating a list of birth visions (a Birth Plan), guidance about what to pack in your birth bag, setting up your birth space at home and at the hospital/birth center, and assistance creating a postpartum plan to ease you into parenthood. -Extensive emotional and physical support during your labor and birth. -Access to professional resources for evidence-based pregnancy, birth and postpartum information. Local resources include birth centers/midwives, lactation consultants, pelvic floor therapists, chiropractors, mental health counselors, and more. -At least 1-2 postnatal meetings in the immediate postpartum period to debrief from your birth experience, provide early lactation support, answer questions regarding newborn care and/or your recovery, and help settle back into home life. -Up to 6 weeks postpartum phone/text support for any questions, concerns, and/or local resources you may need. A $2,100 investment for Ventura County (including Carpinteria, Agoura Hills and Calabasas) A $2,800 investment for Santa Barbara and Los Angeles counties (within 60 miles of Ventura)
