Earthbound Births offers birth & postpartum doula services, prenatal & fourth trimester guidance, placenta encapsulation, and abortion & miscarriage support to individuals and families in Ventura County, CA and surrounding areas.
A doula is a birth professional who provides emotional, physical, and informational support to new and expecting parents of any background.
Birth Doulas provide guidance during labor through pain management including breathing techniques, relaxation methods, massage/acupressure, and labor positioning. We encourage participation from the birth partner and help facilitate informed communication between birthing person and medical provider.
This support should not end at the beginning of a parents new journey. Postpartum Doulas help ease the transition through the fourth trimester by assisting with breastfeeding, newborn care, household tasks, and nurturing the birthing parent.
